Dairy-Free Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Here comes a recipe for all of my dairy-free friends out there! I’ve had requests for more dairy-free options, and while I’m not dairy-free myself, I’m happy to oblige. 🙂 This incredibly simple and refreshing smoothie is made using only three ingredients and is the perfect sweet refreshment that we all need by this time of the summer.

I don’t know where you all live, but here in Northern California temperatures are just starting to heat up big time as we prepare for our annual Indian summer. NO ONE has air conditioning around here (why though?!) so my sweet husband purchased us a portable air conditioning unit and some black out shades so I can attempt to stay cool these final two months of my pregnancy. Along with that, I’ve been really enjoying anything cold lately – funny that I really think my ice cream consumption has tripled this pregnancy! It’s all I wanted my first trimester and now that I’m in the home stretch, I’m just seriously craving the icy coldness of either a cone, smoothie or milkshake. 

I used new Outshine Non-Dairy Strawberry Banana Scoops to make this yummy concoction! It’s non dairy and tastes more like a creamy sorbet to me than anything else, in other words, seriously refreshing. Combined with some fresh strawberries from the farmer’s market and a splash of coconut milk, this is a fruity smoothie after my own heart (and my baby’s. hah!).

Both of my kids are such smoothie freaks and Luke, especially, goes NUTS over strawberry ones! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a child who loves strawberries more than him. This is definitely a post-naptime favorite treat in our house.

  • 4 whole strawberries hulled
  • 1 cup Outshine Non-Dairy Strawberry Banana Scoops
  • 3-4 tbsp coconut milk
  1. Combine all ingredients in your blender and process until smooth and creamy. Enjoy!
