cookies and wine go better together than cookies and milk.
last week, I got my finger slammed (and locked) in the car door. I self-medicated with sea salt chocolate.
the other night I almost left Adam at Lowe’s because he was being bossy…but then I realized he had my credit card.
capers freak me out.
I called it a night at 12:15 on New Years Eve because I couldn’t stop thinking about the s’more tart on the counter…and because my feet hurt.
I miss uncle jessie.

January 5, 2011 at 1:07 pmbossy men… grrrrr. Lowe’s brings that out in men, I think. Nothing like a hardware store to make a normal guy go all dominant.

January 5, 2011 at 1:09 pmcookies + wine DO = a match made in heaven. a couple months ago, i vegetable peeled half my fingernail off… TMI? i feel your pain girly.

Love the close-up shot of you two!

January 5, 2011 at 1:17 pmIf by Uncle Jesse you mean John Stamos….. I watch Full House everyday. And if I’m not near the TV, I DVR it.
I live a sad life.

January 5, 2011 at 1:23 pmBahahaha sometimes I answer the phone “Talk to me!” as a subtle homage to Uncle Jesse 🙂

January 5, 2011 at 1:29 pmClearly, self-medicating with chocolate is the best way to go… can you imagine self-medicating with both your chocolate AND your decadent fig newtons? Mmm.
Megan (Braise The Roof)
January 5, 2011 at 1:41 pmI won’t even go into a hardware store with my boyfriend 9 times out of 10. It’s his domain. I have Sur La Table, he has Home Depot. It works.

January 5, 2011 at 2:05 pmi was at a wedding rehearsal dinner for new years, and the bride and her friends (including me) wanted to do a fake new year at 11pm. but sadly, we were vetoed by her family and the groom’s side.
uncle jessie is wonderful! a bar by campus (at UT) used to post fliers with his picture that said something about the bar being just as awesome as his hair. they cracked me up every time i saw one!

January 5, 2011 at 2:11 pmhaha, uncle jessie. Those were the days. 🙂
LOVE the picture at the end!

January 5, 2011 at 2:13 pmI gotta disagree with you on #1. Cookies go much better with milk b/c you can’t dunk cookies in wine…or you really shouldn’t. 🙂 Now, dark chocolate and wine is a different story.
Jil @ Big City, Lil Kitchen
January 5, 2011 at 2:13 pm“I almost left Adam at Lowe’s because he was being bossy…but then I realized he had my credit card.” – I’m sorry, but I cracked up at this! booo bossiness! Can’t say that I’m not guilty of it though. Oh, I totally agree about the wine and cookies part, and hope your finger feels better!

January 5, 2011 at 2:13 pmIs there ANYTHING that doesn’t go great with wine? If so…I haven’t found it. 🙂

January 5, 2011 at 2:35 pmI did that to my thumb in a car door a few years ago. However, there was lots of bourbon involved so I didn’t feel much! Don’t worry–I was the passenger. haha. Lost a nail to that incident.

January 5, 2011 at 11:55 pmI go see really bad movies just because John Stamon is in them!
AND I totally storm of out of places about twice a month because my fiancee has ruffled my sensitive feathers. Then I remember he has the keys, or the money or I realise that maybe that glass of pinot made me a little irrational… and refusing to order exactly what I want him to, so I can have a bite, isnt the WORST crime known to man.
