My purse is still sitting in a pool of barbecue sauce outside.
Last night we had chili dogs for dinner and it was sort of the best thing ever.
I haven’t done cardio in six months.
Remember when I slammed my finger in the door? Well, the nail finally fell off yesterday…while I was peeling a grapefruit. I screamed bloody murder and then called my mother.
I sat on my 35th pair of sunglasses two days ago.
The other day I creamed butter and sugar together with my hands and pretended I was Laura Ingalls Wilder.

February 22, 2011 at 10:38 pmHands down these are my favorite posts. Get better soon little nail.
My grandmother cut the tip of her finger and fingernail off years and years ago. She always used to tell us it’s what kept her from passing her driver’s test, which was why she never had a license. You need an equally awesome story.

February 23, 2011 at 4:45 am1. i love these posts
2. i’ve had the spill in purse experience more times than i can count. just fyi it can also happen with chocolate bars that get mushed
3. creaming stuff with your hands sounds fun…but…don’t you think laura would have loved to use a light blue amazing kitchen-aid if she had the chance? :). yeh i may be slightly obsessed with mine.
4. i dont see a new header 🙁 not sure why?

February 23, 2011 at 8:32 amThe sunglasses part made me laugh. My brother has a serial history of ruining his sunglasses and our conversations always go:
Him: I lost my sunglasses.
Me: Where?
Him: Because they were expensive.
Him: I sat on my sunglasses.
Me: Really?
Him: Because they were expensive.
haha.

February 23, 2011 at 2:32 pmLove it!!! You’re so funny. Thanks for sharing that. So often I find that celebrity chefs, designers, stylists come across as having it all together. I always find it refreshing to know that I am not the only one who has “those days” 🙂 Looking forward to reading the next confession post!

February 23, 2011 at 3:15 pmBefore I got my stand mixer, I creamed ALL my butter and sugar by hand. I never felt like Laura Ingalls Wilder….I just felt like I was washing my hands 5 times per batch of cookies. But maybe now, having the option, I could see the novelty of it!
(Although with a nail-less finger, I’m sure it would be kind of awful..)
