I don’t understand when people say they are craving vegetables. I’m like, “really? Cause I’m craving chocolate cake. That’s odd.”
As an addendum to the above statement, sometimes SOMETIMES, I may have an odd craving for roasted brussels sprouts. But that’s only when I’m out of cake.
I got way too excited when I heard that Prince William was having a grooms cake made out of 1,000 cookies. A man after my own heart.
I finally own a microwave…and I kinda like it.
I’ve almost eaten an entire batch of this granola by myself in less than a week.
Uh yeah…my barbecue sauce laden purse is still sitting outside….oops.

March 28, 2011 at 12:47 pmhahah I just blogged about how I crave brussels sprouts. I thought I was weird… maybe I am. But at least I’m in good company!

March 28, 2011 at 12:48 pmHaha. I REALLY do crave veggies…especially b.sprouts, sweet potatoes and broccoli. But of course I still crave cookies and brownies and cake and cupcakes and pie. O man. See the balance here? 😉

March 28, 2011 at 12:49 pmThat BBQ sauce looks delicious!
We almost had piles and piles of cookies for our wedding cake, but we went with piles of lemon bars instead! My mom baked every single one.

March 28, 2011 at 12:49 pmI’ve never heard of such a sauce–so amazing!!

March 28, 2011 at 12:51 pmI love roasted brussels sprouts, but I never crave vegetables except for when I had just spent a weekend in NC where practically everything is fried. Not sure I’ve ever been so psyched to see a Moe’s or a Cheesecake Factory before. 🙂
I am personally pretty excited that William getting married means the press talks about Prince Harry too, because he’s my favorite ginger ever, haha!

March 28, 2011 at 12:52 pmPrince William and Kate are having 2 cakes…one is the “traditional” fruit cake and the other the Prince’s childhood cookie favorite. I wonder what chef will create those.
I bought a microwave (first time in years) last month…I recently lost my job and wish I had that money back… 😉

March 28, 2011 at 12:55 pm1. I crave veggies all the time. and i’m weird. and i’m ok w/that. my # 1 veggie craving is brussel sprouts. #2 are fancy mushrooms of any variety.
2. i also crave things like tostitos and ridiculously salty fattening chips, so it all evens out in the end.
3. if that were my purse the same thing would be happening. if i didn’t live in NYC and HAD an “outside”
4. send some granola my way. enough salt in there for me to crave.
😉

March 28, 2011 at 1:07 pmThe only vegetable dish I ever crave is roasted broccolli…but it has covered in parmesan and salt so it’s definitely not healthy or whatever. Sigh.
Faith @ lovelyascharged
March 29, 2011 at 10:55 amparmesan or not, broccoli still rocks…it still is healthy even with the cheese and salt 😉

March 28, 2011 at 1:08 pmJenna seriously you CRACK ME UP! I just got finished writing a post for later this week, which includes your blog on a list of my favorite things for March — I can’t believe I’ve only discovered ELR recently. Aaaand, the only time I ever crave vegetables is if all I’ve eaten all day is cake. Have a great Monday!

March 28, 2011 at 1:12 pmI totally remember that granola recipe. At the very end you wrote:
“this granola will stay fresh for about a month sealed in tupperware and kept in the fridge.”
And I remember reading that and thinking ha! a month…that wouldn’t last me a week!

March 28, 2011 at 1:14 pmOh! I could eat granola for breakfast, lunch and dinner! And that particular one looks so yummy! I’m a granola girl 🙂

March 28, 2011 at 1:37 pmI am one of those oddballs- crave vegetables ALL the time. When I go a while without eating them my body screams “why?!?!!?!” It physically hurts me…hmm…maybe that’s classified as withdrawals.

March 28, 2011 at 3:02 pmAgreed. I’ve never understood veggie cravings. Sometimes I get the desire to “detox” my diet and eat healthier (usually after a cake hangover) but I wouldn’t consider it a craving.

March 28, 2011 at 3:37 pmI am a weird one who craves veggies, especially when they are in the form of “fries,” such as sweet potato fries or butternut squash fries. Or even zucchini and sweet potato chips. And nothing beats a salad loaded with veggies, seeds, nuts, beans, avocado and a homemade dressing. It’s about resetting your taste buds… it becomes a delicious habit after awhile!

March 28, 2011 at 5:18 pmI would have a brides cake made from Mrs. Fields, purely in the form of chocolate chip cookie layers. No joke.

By the way, when I check your blog it frequently does not display your most current posts…sometimes the past 3 are deleted. Then I check later and suddenly they are all back up again. March 28, 2011 at 7:20 pmI crave veggies when I want something light and not-sweet. I *really* crave veggies when I am hot and thirsty – salads are AMAZEBALLS for me the day after a run. Topped with chicken and cheese and salsa..
Of course, at a certain time of the month, it’s all I can do to not eat an entire pan of brownies with an entire container of ice cream and chocolate sauce in one sitting.

March 29, 2011 at 12:13 amMost people “crave vegetables” because it sounds more polite than saying “I’m starving and I could eat the whole cake but I’m afraid of the sugar and butter and oh, the calories!!!”
That said, I do start craving vegetables if I ate too many peanut M&M’s…and it’s usually always roasted brussels sprouts, too.
Hm, what IS it about brussel sprouts? I’m convinced it’s because it goes so well with bacon…
Sonia (the Mexigarian)
March 29, 2011 at 8:39 amHahahaha. I’m always craving brussel sprouts. It’s weird since I only started eating sprouts maybe two years ago.
I crave just about any vegetable. Cover it in chocolate and I’d might be in heaven 🙂 Hmm. Time to experiment.

March 29, 2011 at 8:49 ammy confession is that I hate recycling and I’ve been feeling more and more guilty about it every day. I make myself take out recycling and actually do a good job about 90% of the time. I just feel bad that I resent doing it so much

March 30, 2011 at 9:01 amThe only time I have ever craved vegetables was after WAY overindulging in treats in Vegas. Otherwise, while I’ll eat them, I wouldn’t say I “crave” them.
