I am super excited to finally be able to share with you all of the dishes I made for Green Giant a few months ago! I’ll be sharing these yummy recipes over the next few Saturdays so keep a look out.
The main concern with these recipes (all that feature Green Giant’s new Steamers) is that they be EASY! Well, when they told me that I was sold because even at four months in with Grayson, I still am all about the easy dinner recipes. I don’t think that’s going to change any time soon. I feel like a bunch of you are probably in the same boat, regardless of if you have a baby or not. You could be rushing to an evening class, rushing to get the kids to sleep or just plain don’t like spending a ton of time in the kitchen. I get it. These are for you.
This cheesy chicken and broccoli soup only contains FIVE ingredients and is seriously yummy. We’re just at the brink of soup season over here and I already know I’ll be making this a lot in the coming months, for sure.
The recipe is made special with Green Giant Steamers Frozen Broccoli & Cheese Sauce. Well that and a rotisserie chicken. So good.
Here’s a link to the recipe! I hope y’all enjoy this one. I know we did!

September 27, 2014 at 4:06 amOooh yum! Cheese and broccoli soup is the best one out there when done right! Sounds wonderful, especially as the cooler nights close in on us. After Chicago Marathon, this would be a lovely low carb meal as I will be sick of heavy carbs 🙂

September 27, 2014 at 7:22 amMy mom used to make a soup very similar to this when I was a kid with Velveeta. It was so good.

September 27, 2014 at 9:01 amThis looks so good! I’ve tried broccoli cheddar soup in the past and couldn’t get it to turn out quite right, which is a bummer cause it’s my boyfriend’s favorite. I’ll have to give this recipe a try!

September 27, 2014 at 6:29 pmI can’t wait I make this. It looks really easy, yet delicious and comforting at the same time. Thank you!
On another note, I am knee deep into your book White Jacket Required, and can I just say, I am utterly enthralled and enjoying every single page….every word. It is one of the best books I have read in quite awhile; and I have to make myself stop and put it down at night so I can get some shut eye! Great job, great book. You and your family should be very proud. I’m proud of you and I don’t even know you!! Ha! Best always n always! Danielle

September 29, 2014 at 10:18 amWhat a great idea to use a frozen broccoli & cheese sauce packet. I don’t normally buy those, but it would be awesome to keep on hand for an easy soup dinner. Yum!

November 19, 2014 at 1:30 pmJust wanted to re-comment to let you know I made this the other night, but with leftover ham instead of chicken. It was so good! I used my immersion blender to make it creamier (before adding the ham). Thanks for the inspiration!

October 6, 2014 at 6:30 pmI think I’ll go for some chickpeas over the chicken, but I’m so glad I have something new to do with the 2 pounds of broccoli in my refrigerator! Thanks Jenna!

October 22, 2014 at 5:39 pmI know that this is a sponsored post post but I was wondering. Do you think using regular steamed broccoli would work and then adding fresh grated cheddar? Or will it need some kind of thickener which I’m sure the broccoli cheese has?
