I *think* we are finally about to get some real Spring temperatures happening over here in the Bay Area and I have a feeling that as the weather continues to warm up, these frozen yogurt pops will be on repeat. I mean, just yesterday Grayson ate two of these and I ate one…so looks like I need to make another batch pretty soon! 😉 They are SO good and take approximately 30 seconds to make so what are you waiting for?
Folks, the only ingredients are Greek yogurt (full fat, please!), maple syrup and blueberries. You can experiment with different types of berries but we really love blueberry anything right now (Luke is obsessed). I love making a batch of these on Sundays to have for the week ahead because they are a healthy snack that’s high protein thanks to the Greek yogurt, but Grayson still believes this to be ice cream. Bless.
I found these adorable ice pop molds at Ikea, where I find all the things, all the time. I think they were only about $1.99 or something crazy like that so go get thee to Ikea and get yourself some before they are all gone!
These are incredibly creamy and definitely satisfy the sweet tooth urge. You could also get crazy and instead of making pops, process the mixture in an ice cream maker for traditional fro-yo. If you do that, know that homemade frozen yogurt does get a bit hard in the freezer so it’s a smart idea to bring it out and let it defrost for about 30 minutes before you plan to serve it.
Make these soon, people. They are YUM.
- 1 cup whole milk Greek yogurt preferably organic
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup blueberries
-
Combine all ingredients in a blender and process very briefly -- you want it still chunky and not totally smooth.
-
Pour into ice pop molds and freeze for 4 hours or overnight.
